Getting a Destiny Puppy

Thank you for your interest in getting a puppy from me. It's my goal that every Destiny puppy becomes a cherished and valued family member so long as he or she lives. To achieve this goal, potential homes are carefully screened in order to match just the right pup with just the right home. Mine is a very small breeding program, producing a litter only occasionally. It's very important to me to find responsible, lifelong homes. I strive to breed the best possible dogs – those that have great temperaments, possess true Aussie type and are beautiful too. Below are some things for you to consider during your search for a puppy:

  • All puppies are cute; I am a committed advocate of responsible breeding practices. A puppy is for life and I ask you to make that long term commitment.
  • I ask that you research the Australian Shepherd breed thoroughly. This breed is not for everyone – they are active, inquisitive and challenging. Occasionally, they do not adapt well to our modern urban environment. They require lots and lots of human and other animal interaction and training to develop into pleasurable companions as adults. Please remember that what you get out of your relationship with your Aussie is fully dependent upon what you put into early (and on-going) training and socialization.
  • I require that you have a fenced, secure yard where your Aussie can get a lot of exercise.
  • I offer rebates for completing obedience classes.
  • Your puppy is guaranteed healthy and disease free when it is released to you at 8 to 10 weeks of age.
  • The pup will come to you fully guaranteed for sound temperament and free of genetic defects. I will replace your puppy at no charge (except shipping, health certificate and shipping crate, if needed) should either circumstance arise for the lifetime of the pup so long as I am actively breeding and have a replacement pup to give you from a future litter.
  • Puppies are well socialized when they leave my home. They are raised underfoot in my home with lots of contact with children, friends and other friendly pets as well. They have their first set of shots and are wormed.
  • All my adult breeding dogs are in superb health and are my personal companions who share my home with me.
  • I will ship a puppy; however, I prefer if at all possible you come and pick up your puppy in person. I've shipped a lot of puppies and never had a problem, but the shipping process is stressful on a young pup, not to mention the nervous breakdown I almost always have before getting your call that the pup arrived safely! Shipping and related charges are not included in the price of your puppy.
