Thank you for visiting and your interest in the Australian Shepherd of the smaller variety – commonly known as the miniature Australian Shepherd. Since 1985, Destiny has specialized in the small Australian Shepherd variety.

I first discovered the joys of owning a small Aussie with my first little blue dog, Riley. Riley was a joy to own and in typical Aussie fashion he was a quick study, a clown, a gentleman, a guardian and my very best friend. Riley was my pet companion, but I was so taken by these little Aussies that I decided to acquire a breed quality blue merle female who was related to Riley from which to start my breeding program. I named her Kit (RBKC Ch. Croswhite's Miss Kitty Fox, HC). Kit was a tiny blue merle female with azure blue eyes and strong Aussie type who went on to become the variety's first conformation champion of record as well as the first “mini” Aussie to be herding instinct certified by the AHBA. My dogs are my best friends, constant companions and breeding dogs that share my home with me (I don’t have a “kennel”). Their lineage traces back to my original little blue dog “Kit” and I’m grateful that her legacy lives on today.

Destiny is located in Northern Nevada in the beautiful high desert valley known as the Truckee Meadows. The Truckee Meadows sits at the northeastern base of the spectacular Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe . It's a beautiful setting with over 250 days of sunshine per year, a dry climate that inhibits pesky insects (we have no fleas!), lots of fresh clean air and a small town atmosphere.
